Solid Farms started as a prototype farm in 2019, serving 3 crates of eggs daily to the neighborhood of Apowa Highways estate. After 7 months of this endeavor, customers from the main Apowa township and others from Takoradi who had heard of the farm via social media began placing orders we couldn’t fulfill with our capacity. This solidified the concept and reason the farm had to be established to serve the sudden growth in demand. On February 2023, construction on the actual farm designed to house 4000 birds began.

Construction is currently done and stocking of birds to start brooding is the next step. Starting with 3000 birds with the battery cage system, we aim at 75 crates a day at a 75% production rate. This is enough to serve the demand and pressure we are currently facing even while waiting for the flock.
